Vimplicity is an early sales stage company, developing an Instant Voice Messaging platform called VoicengerTM - Voice Messenger. Potential customers are telephony operators (both cellular and wire-line). The VoicengerTM platform is a highly innovative solution, still allowing a simple user experience. VoicengerTM allows sending short voice messages in a way that is much more natural and intuitive for most users, without the need for any software or hardware modification of existing handsets. The service is intuitive and may repeat the success of SMS.
Telephony service providers are looking for ways to expand their service offering, to increase their ARPU (Average Revenue per User) and to differentiate themselves from their competitors. Voicemail and SMS services were substantial revenue generators, but they have reached saturation as far as ARPU increase is concerned. The VoicengerTM service is positioned to complement the SMS and voicemail services, forming a trio of substantially successful services. Two winning elements for successful services have been identified: voice and immediacy. Apparently, it was enough to have one of these, e.g. SMS has the factor of immediacy while the voicemail service is based on voice. VoicengerTM is based on a unique combination of voice and immediacy.
